The Nurtured Home was one of Rae’s earliest independent projects, created before RAEFORM formally existed.
Jen came with a vision for a healing practice that was deeply personal to her, but she needed help turning that vision into something people could actually see, understand, and experience online. More than anything, she trusted Rae to figure out how to bring it to life.
For someone still building her own body of work at the time, that trust meant a lot.
Jen was not handing over an already finished brand. The identity, website, visual direction, and digital experience still needed to be shaped. The goal was to create something that felt like an extension of her practice rather than a separate layer placed on top of it.
The Challenge
The Nurtured Home is an Illinois-based holistic healing practice centered around energy work and deeply personal spiritual experiences. That made the brand difficult to communicate through conventional design alone.
The website needed to explain Jen’s services clearly enough for someone discovering them for the first time while still preserving the softer, more intuitive quality of her work.
There was also a bigger challenge: building the business presence itself.
Jen needed more than a homepage. She needed an identity, a place to explain her work, a way to offer products and resources, and a digital foundation she could continue building on.
Our Approach
The process started with Jen’s vision rather than with a predetermined style.
Rae translated the ideas, emotions, and visual references Jen shared into a cohesive identity, then carried that direction through the website and supporting materials.
The goal was never to make the practice look like every other wellness brand. Each decision was made around what felt aligned with Jen, from the logo and typography to the imagery, layout, and way visitors moved through the site.
As the project grew, so did the scope. The work expanded beyond the core website into e-commerce, downloadable healing resources, social content, and the systems needed to support Jen as she continued building the business.
What Was Built
The project included a complete visual identity, website design and development, e-commerce functionality, digital healing kits, social content, and the broader structure needed to support The Nurtured Home online.
The website became the central home for Jen’s services, story, products, and resources while keeping the experience cohesive from one part of the brand to another.
It was also one of the projects that helped shape Rae’s own approach to client work: listen closely, understand what someone is trying to create even when they cannot fully articulate it yet, and build something that feels like theirs when they finally see it.
Outcome
The Nurtured Home went from a personal vision to a complete digital identity and online home that felt unmistakably like Jen and gave her room to grow.
