Culture Policy
RAEFORM's culture is built around useful work, responsible ownership, respect, and clear communication.
Overview
This policy describes the standards we aim to maintain when working with clients, contractors, collaborators, vendors, and other people connected with RAEFORM.
Respect
Professional disagreement is allowed. Disrespect is not required for it.
RAEFORM expects people to communicate without harassment, threats, discrimination, humiliation, or intimidation.
Ownership
People should understand what they are responsible for and raise problems before they become avoidable emergencies.
Ownership includes:
- Following through
- Communicating blockers
- Asking when something is genuinely unclear
- Correcting mistakes
- Avoiding unnecessary handoffs
Communication
Clear communication is preferred over performative communication.
People are encouraged to:
- Be concise where possible
- Document decisions that matter
- Communicate changes
- Avoid withholding information needed by others to perform their work
Professional Independence
Where a person works with RAEFORM as an independent contractor or external professional, RAEFORM respects the legal nature of that relationship.
This Culture Policy does not convert a contractor into an employee or create employment rights.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Confidential information should be accessed only where necessary and handled carefully.
Curiosity is not a business need.
Ethical Work
RAEFORM does not expect people to engage in fraudulent, deceptive, discriminatory, exploitative, or unlawful conduct to complete a task.
Constructive Disagreement
People may question a process, decision, or instruction in good faith.
A concern should be evaluated on its substance rather than dismissed because it is inconvenient.
Boundaries
Professional expectations should be reasonable and consistent with the applicable relationship, agreement, responsibilities, and availability.
Raising Concerns
Good-faith concerns involving misconduct, privacy, security, harassment, conflicts, or unethical activity should be raised through the appropriate RAEFORM contact.
Retaliation for raising a genuine concern in good faith is inconsistent with this policy.
No Contractual Rights
This Culture Policy describes RAEFORM's general standards.
It does not create employment, tenure, compensation, benefits, or contractual rights that do not otherwise exist.
